Family Court Counselling

The Family Court funds counselling for parents or guardians wanting help regarding the care of children. Dr Smith is available to take specialist referrals from the Court that have been directed by a Judge (referred to as s46G counselling). Self-referrals or general referrals under other sections of the act will be directed to other counsellors by the local Family Court co-ordinator. The Family Court fully funds sessions and the number of sessions allocated is determined by the Court.
